Condition: Very good condition. Great sound. Silver plated mechanism is shiny and looks great for it's age. Pads are in good condition. It has some very old pin repairs. It has no leaks and plays low notes with no problem. It would benefit from a good COA.. Case in great condition. If interested I have more photos.

Description

This is a vintage Rigoutat professional oboe serial number 190W, made by the founder Charles Rigoutat, that I bought about twenty years ago. I emailed Philippe Rigoutat photos of the oboe, about five years ago, and he told me it was made by Charles but the serial number records don't go that far back. It could have been made in the 1940s or 1950s. The mechanism works well and looks great. The pads are in good condition. It has a great sound. I played it last night and the low notes sound with no problems or leaks. Action is pretty good but it would probably benefit from a COA by a pro.
